Mark 9:14–29 (NKJV)

Welcome to Nambucca Baptist Church service for Sunday 14th March 2020. We have just been advised by the Baptist Association that restrictions are easing further. Unfortunately, this does not mean that we are able to sing or have any physical contact. For the time being, we will continue with our online services and have face to face meetings in the manse for prayer and Bible study when that resumes. Today I am preaching on the same passage as last week, the healing of the demon-possessed boy. Last week we looked at it from the point of view of the father of the little boy. Today we take a look at the disciples and attempt to understand what went so terribly wrong for them on that day.

As usual we have Meryl greeting us with a warm welcome to church. A little later she leads us in prayer. Please feel free to pause the video if you wish to add your own prayers to ours.

This is where we would normally take up the tithes and offerings for the work of the Lord here in our church and our community. We are now able provide an online service to make this easier for you while we are unable to meet in the church. You can either use the app on your smartphone or click on the green button below. We give thanks to God for His provision in the midst of what could have been a bit of a struggle for us.

Thank you for staying with us for the whole service. today we have a special treat. ‘The Blessing’ was composed by the team at Elevation Worship in the USA. Since them in just a few weeks it has spread around the world as churches find a way to bless their nations despite the lock-down. Today we have a compilation by Elevation that includes all the various versions from around the world. Enjoy.

I so enjoyed the service this morning from the prayer from Meryl to the Bible Reading from David and your sermon Peter was so uplifting and inspiring. I do enjoy watching these services. Bless each of you.
