Ephesians Week 6
Ephesians 3:1-13 (NIV)
Welcome to Nambucca Baptist Church for our worship service for Sunday 30th October 2022. Today we are looking at week 6 of our sermon series in Paul’s letter to the churches in and around Ephesus.
The ancient world was well acquainted with the idea of religious mysteries. These were secrets that were held by the priests and priestesses of the various pagan cults. Only those who had been admitted to this level had access to the mysteries of that particular cult. This gave the priesthood serious power over the people because they controlled access to their deity.
The Ephesians would have been on the edge of their seats as Paul explained the secret of the mystery that had been hidden from the foundation of the world. Not even the Jewish people had access to this mystery. If you want to find out what it was you will have to watch the video.
