Revelation Week 10
Matthew 24: 36-42 nkjv
Welcome to Nambucca Baptist Church for our 2nd lockdown service this Sunday 22nd August. As we met to pre-record the video clips for this service there was an expectation that God was going to do something powerful with this meeting. We are moving towards the final chapters of the book of Revelation and yet, the subject of today’s message, the pre-tribulation rapture of the church cannot be found in Revelation or any other book of the Bible for that matter.
As always we present the service exactly as you would have experienced it in church, and you are welcome to be a part of our church family as we worship. We are not able to sing in church during lockdown, but you are free to join us in spirit with singing and prayer to our loving Heavenly Father.
The pre tribulation rapture has been a consistent part of my life since about 1985. I never found it in my bible. It was taught by itinerant evangelists and preachers as if the rapture could happen tomorrow. They taught ‘receive Jesus now or you may be left behind when the Lord comes for his church’. The bible however, teaches the exact opposit. It is our role to be prepared for the hardships and troubles that lay ahead.
This will be the time for the glorious church moving in power and miracles to bring revival in the face of the great tribulation.
This is where we would normally take up a collection but as you can see we can’t pass an offering bag around online. We have, however, provided a secure online giving facility for you. You can either use the Tithe.ly app on your smartphone or just click on the green button on the screen. We have been blessed by the way so many of you have managed to continue to give in various ways so that we can continue with the work of the Lord here in our church and beyond our walls.
These are two ‘Left Behind’ vodeo clips showing the chaos and disaster scenes predicted by a Pre-Tribulation rapture of the church. It makes for exciting viewing but has no basis in Scripture.
The Lord Bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face to shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you
And give you peace
