Galatians Week 4

Galatians 2:11-21 (nlt)

Welcome to Nambucca Baptist Church for our worship service on Sunday 27th February 2022. there was very heavy rain today but this did not dampen the enthusiasm of all those who braved the conditions and joined with the rest of our church family in a lively service. Today was very special because for the first time in many months we were able to sing and worship without masks. It was wonderful to hear the singing loud and clear. Please join with us wherever or whenever you find yourself here and be a part of our church family.

The Message Today

We are now up to week 4 in our series on the letter to the Galatians. The focus of today’s message is found in Galatians 2:11-21, the time when Paul challenged Peter over suddenly changing his behaviour just because some Jewish Christians had arrived in Antioch and expected all the gentiles to become Jews. Peter’s behaviour was motivated by fear and unfortunately, the other Jewish Christians and Barnabus followed his example. Paul confronted Peter to his face and the subsequent verses are a profound explanation of Justification by faith in Jesus alone.

This is where we would normally take up a collection but as you can see we can’t pass an offering bag around online. We have, however, provided a secure online giving facility for you. You can either use the Tithe.ly app on your smartphone or just click on the green button on the screen. We have been blessed by the way so many of you have managed to continue to give in various ways so that we can continue with the work of the Lord here in our church and beyond our walls.
