Welcome to Nambucca Baptist Church this Sunday the 3rd January 2021. This is the first meeting of the new year and we took the opportunity to do a couple of things a little differently this morning. We took the opportunity to pray for a couple of our members who are unwell and are preparing to go to the hospital for some much-needed surgery. If you are not a member of our church but you would like us to pray for you, please leave a prayer request in the comments section below.

Today we had a good look at how the Lord has been faithful to our church and the people in it. As the Covid crisis threatened us we prayed Psalm 91 over ourselves and our community. To my knowledge, not one of our members or any of their families were lost to the covid virus. No one even tested positive. So great is our Lord to protect and save those who trust in him. We trust also that you will enjoy our service this week. We have some great worship music and this morning is also a communion service so if you would like to join with us why don’t you prepare the elements right now wherever you are and share around the Lord’s Table with us.

This morning Meryl welcomed us to church and also led us in prayer. Glenys also did our Bible reading and David was behind the camera. Please join with us as we worship this morning wherever you are in the world, you will be a part of our church family today.

This is where we would normally take up a collection but as you can see we can’t pass an offering bag around online. We have, however, provided a secure online giving facility for you. You can either use the Tithe.ly app on your smartphone or just click on the green button on the screen. We have been blessed by the way so many of you have managed to continue to give in various ways so that we can continue with the work of the Lord here in our church and beyond our walls.

We hope that you have been blessed by our service today, and that you felt the presence of God, as you entered into worship and prayer with us. Unfortunately, I can’t invite you to stay for a cuppa and morning tea snacks but I do have a little treat for you.
