Jesus – The Power Of Joy This Christmas

Welcome to Nambucca Baptist church for our service this Sunday 27th December 2020, the last service for the year. It was a warm and sunny morning and we welcomed a number of visitors as well as our usual church family. Although Advent is officially over, I missed one week while I was in hospital and I took the opportunity to preach the final Advent message on Joy, and how to maintain your joy in the midst of difficult and often dangerous circumstances.

As always we have some great music video clips for you to enter into worship with us. Meryl welcomes us to church and Thona reads the scriptures for us. David was behind the camera. We trust that you will enjoy sharing with us in this time of praise and worship and as you do this you will also be a part of our church family no matter where in the world you might be, or whenever you find time to share in this service with us.

Blessings

This is where we would normally take up a collection but as you can see we can’t pass an offering bag around online. We have, however, provided a secure online giving facility for you. You can either use the Tithe.ly app on your smartphone or just click on the green button on the screen. We have been blessed by the way so many of you have managed to continue to give in various ways so that we can continue with the work of the Lord here in our church and beyond our walls.

We hope that you enjoyed our service as much as we enjoyed presenting it for you. We trust that, as you joined in, that you were able to sense the presence of God in the way that we did in the church this morning. since you are unable to join us for morning tea and a chat I have a little something for you to enjoy instead. In keeping with the theme of today’s message, Maverick City Music in Dallas recently released a wonderful arrangement of Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee/Angels We Have Heard on high. Enjoy.
