Philippians 4: 10-23 (NKJV)
Philippians Week 7
Welcome to Nambucca Baptist Church for our service Sunday 8th November 2020. Today we enjoyed the sweet presence of God in the church from the moment that the people started to arrive.
This morning is the last in our series on Philippians. Even though he was under house arrest in a situation that would soon result in his death at the hands of the Romans, Paul remained focused on preaching the gospel at every opportunity. He was so grateful to his ministry partners in Philippi who had supported him faithfully over the years and were often the only church that provided for him financially. The secret he tells us is that he had learned to trust and depend on God for all his needs, and had learned the secret of being content no matter his circumstances.
We have a warm welcome to church from Meryl who also leads us in prayer. Glenys reads the bible for us and as always we have some great songs. Join with us as we worship today no matter where you are or when you get the opportunity to watch this service, you can be a part of our church family today.
Blessings
This is where we would normally take up a collection but as you can see we can’t pass an offering bag around online. We have, however, provided a secure online giving facility for you. You can either use the Tithe.ly app on your smartphone or just click on the green button on the screen. We have been blessed by the way so many of you have managed to continue to give in various ways so that we can continue with the work of the Lord here in our church and beyond our walls.
During the service, we only got the short version of this song. Here is the original release. It is the best way to enter into this great song.
Thank you for staying with us to the end of what was a wonderful service. We pray that the presence of God was as real for you as it was in the church today.
During the week I was going through a rough time and I needed some encouragement. It was Meryl who suggested I listen to some worship music to get me centered where I needed to be at the time. Long story short, the Lord led me to this new song from Maverick City. You Hold It All Together. I must have listened to this song for an hour or more, over and over as it ministered to me. I understand that some with hearing difficulties may not be able to follow the lyrics so here is the link to the lyric video clip, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHb6LJorjMw I trust that you will be as blessed as I was by the passion and the spirit of the song.
