John 6: 28-40
Welcome to the Nambucca Baptist Church for our Sunday service for 5th July 2020. We have a communion service for you today and we trust that you will enjoy it and participate with us wherever in the world you may be watching us. This morning we will be starting a new series of sermons based on the seven I AM sayings of Jesus found only in John’s gospel. Today, as you have probably guessed, we will be looking at the first of these sayings I AM the bread of life from John 6.
There is a lot happening at the moment with Government regulations slowly easing it is time for us to gather as one church family to talk about how the church is going to look as we move forward into a post Covid world. A world that has changed so much of what we used to take for granted. So both morning and evening congregations are invited to a BYO lunch in the manse next Saturday at 12.00 PM right after we finish recording the service for the following morning. Meryl has the full details in her welcome.
This is where we would normally take up a collection but as you can see we won’t be passing an offering bag around any time soon. We have provided a secure online giving facility for you. You can either use the Tithe.ly app on your smartphone or just click on the green button on the screen. We have been blessed by the way so many of you have managed to continue to give in various ways so that we can continue with the work of the Lord here in our church and beyond our walls.
Thank you for making it right through to the end of our service. Right about now, I should be offering you a cuppa and something tasty down in the manse but I can’t do that just yet. As a treat, I have a new video clip of Capernaum presented by the Israel Ministry of tourism. This place is truly a must-visit for anyone who visits the Holy Land.
