Pentecost 2022
Acts 2:36-41 NKJV
Welcome to Nambucca Baptist Church for our worship and communion service today. Today we moved the service down to the manse and the family atmosphere was wonderful and it was nice and cozy on a cold morning. Today is one of the great days in the church calendar and we celebrated Pentecost together.
The message today reflected on the great Jewish feasts and how they find their fulfillment in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ. Pentecost is a harvest festival and so we focussed on that part of the passage in Acts chapter 2 that records the fulfillment of the feast as 3,000 souls were saved after the first public sermon following the spectacular falling of the Holy Spirit in that upper room in Jerusalem. The message for us is that we need to pray for souls to be added to the church as the Holy Spirit empowers us with His gifts to reach out into our community. To seek and save the lost.
This is where we would normally take up a collection but as you can see we can’t pass an offering bag around online. We have, however, provided a secure online giving facility for you. You can either use the Tithe.ly app on your smartphone or just click on the green button on the screen. We have been blessed by the way so many of you have managed to continue to give in various ways so that we can continue with the work of the Lord here in our church and beyond our walls.
