Mark: The Journey to Jerusalem, Week 5

Today we have reached week five in our journey through the second half of Mark’s gospel. The story centers around two seemingly unrelated events, a curse and a cleansing. Jesus curses a fig tree and then enters the temple and drives out the animals, moneychangers and tradespeople who had turned the outer court of the temple into a market place, rather than a place of prayer and quietness for the god fearing Gentile believers who had made the trip to Jerusalem. You will need to watch the video to see how it is all connected.
