Galatians Week 2
Galatians 1:11-24 (nkjv)
Welcome to Nambucca Baptist Church for our worship service for Sunday 13th February 2022. It was a happy and noisy church family that gathered for our service this morning. Today we are trialing a slightly different format, with our welcome and notices at the very beginning of the service, followed by a song service. The rest of the service then proceeds as normal. We believe that it was a success this morning and we will continue with the trial for the next few weeks.
The Message for Today
Today we continue our series on Galatians with the sermon focussed on Galatians 1:11-24. The passage describes Paul’s testimony from before his conversion, the conversion itself, and his spiritual progress after his Damascus Road experience with Jesus. The emphases that Paul makes are that firstly, he received his apostolic call from Jesus himself and secondly that he also received his gospel message directly from Jesus before he had any contact with Peter and James in Jerusalem.
None of us has received an apostolic commission like Paul, but all followers of Jesus Christ have been called by Him, commissioned by him. Go and make disciples!
