Psalms Week 1
Psalms 1:1-6 NKJV
Welcome to Nambucca Baptist Church for our service this 12th September 2021. Today we were all able to meet in the church for the first time in several weeks as our lockdown restrictions were eased. It was a beautiful warm sunny Spring day and we were all so happy to see each other and catch up on the happenings of the past few weeks.
Today we start a new sermon series. We will be studying the Psalms and today we begin at the very beginning (It’s a very good place to start) with Psalm 1. This is a short little wisdom Psalm that serves to introduce and compare the two main themes of the book. The life and fate of the godly person against the life and fate of the wicked. The Psalms are written in poetry and are perfect to express your feelings and emotions to God when you can’t find the language yourself to tell Him.
Please join us as we worship and pray and hear the word preached today.
This is where we would normally take up a collection but as you can see we can’t pass an offering bag around online. We have, however, provided a secure online giving facility for you. You can either use the Tithe.ly app on your smartphone or just click on the green button on the screen. We have been blessed by the way so many of you have managed to continue to give in various ways so that we can continue with the work of the Lord here in our church and beyond our walls.
