Welcome to Nambucca Baptist Church for our worship service for Sunday 11th December 2022. Today is the third Sunday in Advent and the theme for the service is joy. The joy that the shepherds felt when their lives were miraculously changed one night by the appearance of angels announcing the birth of Jesus.
There is a great difference between happiness and joy. Happiness is a fleeting thing that we experience when we acquire some new thing or go on some anticipated holiday. After a while the happiness fades and we are looking for the next bit of stuff to acquire or the next new place to visit. Joy is a God given gift that can sustain and give us strength us even in the dark times, you will have to watch the video to find out how.
