Welcome To Nambucca Baptist Church for our worship and Holy Communion service this Sunday 19th December 2021. We had a wonderful service with a lot of joy and expectation in the room. It was also our first meeting in two years without masks and we were also allowed to sing. No wonder it was a happy room. If you have taken the time to join with us this week you are part of our church family and it would be great if you were to prepare the elements and join with us in Holy Communion.
Today is the fourth sunday in Advent and the theme for today is Peace. We lit the fourth candle and this is called the Angel’s candle and speaks to the message of the angels to the shepherds “glory to God in the highest and on Earth peace and goodwill towards men.” The message tells us that the God revealed His glory to us in the birth of His son in Bethlehem. One of the names of Jesus is Prince of Peace and so we see the full purpose and promise of God fulfilled in the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This is where we would normally take up a collection but as you can see we can’t pass an offering bag around online. We have, however, provided a secure online giving facility for you. You can either use the Tithe.ly app on your smartphone or just click on the green button on the screen. We have been blessed by the way so many of you have managed to continue to give in various ways so that we can continue with the work of the Lord here in our church and beyond our walls.
