Acts 7:55 – 8:8
Welcome to Nambucca Baptist Church for our service this Sunday 2nd May 2021. Today we will be celebrating Holy Communion after the sermon so we would encourage you to join us around the Lord’s table by preparing the elements yourself, crackers and juice, or whatever you have on hand to represent the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today we are in week five of our series on the book of Acts. The message tells the story of two of the seven deacons that were chosen to supervise the distribution of food to the widows, Stephen and Philip. Both of these men demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities and spiritual gifts as they expanded their roles from just waiting on tables. Stephen had a very short but spectacular ministry that ended with him becoming the first Christian Martyr. Philip’s ministry was marked by amazing manifestations of the Holy Spirit all of which enabled him to fulfill his call as an evangelist. Please join us now as we enter into worship and praise our wonderful loving heavenly Father.
