A New Trust

Exodus chapter 14

Welcome to Nambucca Baptist Church for our service this Sunday 30th August 2020. This morning we continued with week two of our new sermon series on ‘A New Normal’. The series is based on the story of the Exodus and how the Israelites had their ‘normal’ taken away from them overnight. This week we shift the focus onto learning to trust God in our wilderness. We have all experienced life-changing events and who knows how long this current Covid crisis will continue to disrupt our lives.

What we do know is that God is looking to be glorified in our situation if only we will trust him. As with any life challenge the key to meeting that challenge is in taking the first step. Who would have wanted to take that first step onto the dry bed of the Red Sea that day, trusting that those walls of water would not collapse on them?

As always we are welcomed to church by Meryl, who also leads us in prayer. Anne reads the scripture for us with several excerpts from Exodus 14. We trust that you will enjoy our service and if it blesses you then please leave a comment at the foot of the page and share the links with your family and friends on Facebook.

This is where we would normally take up a collection but as you can see we can’t pass an offering bag around online. We have, however, provided a secure online giving facility for you. You can either use the app on your smartphone or just click on the green button on the screen. We have been blessed by the way so many of you have managed to continue to give in various ways so that we can continue with the work of the Lord here in our church and beyond our walls.

Thank you for staying with us for the service we trust that you were blessed by it. As always, I try to offer a little Easter egg at the end for our online viewers. Today We are offering a look at the latest clip from We The Kingdom. Released just two days ago, this clip, Child of Love, is from their new album. Enjoy.
